Auto dealers criticize UAW plan to protest at Toyota outlets
Source: Detroit News

Auto dealers who sell foreign brands are criticizing a plan by the United Auto Workers union to protest at Toyota Motor Corp. dealerships.

On Thursday, incoming UAW President Bob King said the union was redoubling its efforts to organize Toyota workers and will protest at the Japanese automaker's dealerships.

"Attacking small businesses won't help Mr. King build back UAW membership," said Cody Lusk, president of the American International Automobile Dealers Association.

...

"We're going to pound on Toyota until they recognize the First Amendment rights of those workers to come into the UAW," King said in Detroit Thursday.

9. I know a lady that has a son and daughter that both work
at Toyota and from what I hear they like their job and feel they have no need for a union. I think the labor laws should change to prevent employers from intimidating workers when they vote for Union representation. But Card Check is nothing but giving the Unions power to intimidate workers into signing up, I don't see that as any improvement. I know I will get the same argument that the union wouldn't do that, I know better.
