Sirius Satellite Radio to Carry Air America
Edited on Wed Apr-07-04 01:51 PM by JPZenger
To complement their existing right-wing talk channel, Sirius Satellite radio has agreed to carry Air America. (XM Radio has carried most of Air America from the beginning).

1. They say they're doing it for the "right" reason
But I suspect they like AmAir's early numbers and increasingy lucrative advertisers!

I think the advertising is secondary to the requests of the subscribers. I e-mailed Sirius and asked them to broadcast and was told that they've received lots of requests and are going to add it.

IMHO, Sirius is much better than XM. The 60 music channels are commercial free and all channels are available for one price. The also have a Talk Liberal (and a Talk conservative UGH) and OUTQ, a gay themed radio station that has some great political debate.

3. XM Radio
FYI: XM Radio has also switched to no commercials for their music stations. It is a little cheaper - $10 a month.

6. Let the satellite wars begin...it's only good for us.
I just hope that satellite radio, in general, gets a lot of support.

4. Exactly. I'm straight..but I love Mike Signorile's political commen.
on OutQ. And now, of course, I will have to choose between Talk Left and Air America. Went from Famine to Feast.
