More than 1,100 Hoosiers called up
http://www.indystar.com/articles/1/135876-1791-092.html

<snip>
More than 1,100 Indiana National Guard troops will join the global war on terrorism in the largest call-up of Hoosier citizen soldiers since the invasion of Iraq.

Three units from the 76th Infantry Brigade in Indianapolis, New Albany and Columbus received orders over the weekend to report for mobilization at Camp Atterbury in the first week of May. Another Indianapolis unit, the 38th Military Police Company, will report to Schofield Barracks in Hawaii at the end of the month.

<snip>
The guardsmen and women called up this week bring to 6,400 the number of Army and Air National Guard soldiers from Indiana who have served on active duty since 2001. The call-up includes the second activation of at least one unit during that time. The state has a total of about 14,000 men and women in the Guard.

6. Guess what? The war has truly started!
All that 'shock & awe" crap didn't do anything but stir up the hornet's nest. Now that the "Bush Army of the Paid" has settled into the country, a long, time honored tradition will commence...the systematic death of hundreds of our troops (and untold numbers of Iraqis) in a never-ending grind of low-impact/high body count war.

Ted was right.
