Baghdad, Iraq-AP -- A British journalist kidnapped and then released this week in Iraq says "anger is rising" and "tolerance is plummeting" -- and he thinks kidnappings will continue there.
The Times of London reporter Stephen Farrell says insurgents have begun to "grab first and ask questions later." He was lucky enough to argue his way out of captivity by proving he's a journalist and not a soldier. But he says he fears others might not have such success.
On Tuesday, Farrell was diverted off the main highway from Amman, Jordan, to Baghdad by U-S Marines who'd sealed off the area around Fallujah.
That's where he says a group of men armed with rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers opened fire on his armored car -- spraying it with machine gun bullets.
Farrell was released after eight hours in captivity.
