U.S. VP Cheney warns South of North Korean threat to peace
U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney wrapped up the China leg of his week long Asia tour Thursday with warnings over the dangers posed by North Korea and a commitment to continue arming Taiwan.
After high level meetings in Beijing Wednesday with China's top leaders, Cheney dropped his guard somewhat in front of students in Shanghai before talking business with U.S. executives in this eastern coastal port.

On a trip dominated by Taiwan and North Korea, Cheney maintained the theme in a speech and question and answer session at prestigious Fudan University.

He warned that Pyongyang could potentially pass its nuclear technology to terrorist groups.

"We worry given what they've done in the past, and given current capabilities, that North Korea could very well provide this technology to someone else, or terror groups," he said.

"We know that there are terror groups like al-Qaida that have tried to acquire nuclear weapons before."

He described North Korea as "one of the most serious problems in the region today."

5. Actually
I think it was the US that killed South Koreans during the Korean War who refused to submit to imperialism, and we also carpet bombed the entire north. Nothing like revisionist history and blatant lies from the good old US of A.

7. Does anyone really believe that South Koreans need reminding of this?
Obviously not. Cheney is there to strong arm the South Korean government into Imperial compliance.

Guess Chaingang has been over in Aisa planning on how the region is gonna deal with Jong. Looks to me as if they have a plan. Wonder what he bargained away that belongs to us in order to start the coming attack on NK.
