MediaMatters: Even After Time, You Still Don't Know 'Real Ann Coulter' |
|
Even after Time's cover story, you still don't know "the real Ann Coulter"
"You don't know the real Ann Coulter," Time magazine declares in teasing its cover story on the right-wing pundit.
But after reading the magazine's nearly 6,000-word profile of Coulter, readers still don't know the real Ann Coulter. They don't know the real Ann Coulter because Time carefully hid her from view, glorifying her legal work, whitewashing her habitual lies, and downplaying her -- at best -- grossly inappropriate rhetoric.
- snip -
In establishing Coulter's bona fides as a serious person, Cloud notes that Coulter was a lawyer before becoming a commentator, explaining her "biggest case": "And of course the biggest case Coulter ever helped handle as an attorney (she got her law degree from the University of Michigan in 1988) was a sexual-harassment claim of an unsophisticated woman against her powerful former boss. Coulter was one of a handful of informal legal advisers quietly helping Paula Jones, who had alleged in a 1994 lawsuit that she suffered distress and retaliation at her state job after refusing Arkansas Governor Clinton's request for oral sex in 1991. Coulter interviewed Jones and helped write her legal briefs."
Left out is one seemingly important detail: the case was dismissed for complete and total lack of merit. It was a glorified nuisance suit:

3. Time's cover feature of AC set me off |
|
I sent a scathing email to Time. Normally I make my complaints reasoned and respectful but not this one. I went off on a major rant.
I'm so fricken' fed up with these pandering media whores (a term I rarely use) who will do anything for a buck, anything! I fantasize sometime of Ann Coulter being beaten to a pulp by liberal Vietnam veterans who take serious offense at being called TRAITORS by this preppy, snotty, bitch.
I hope a lot of Time subscriptions were cancelled.

8. I believe they said the regular lens busted when trying to photograph her |
|
and with some lens, she wouldn't have a shadow. Some even say they took the pictures but nothing showed up when they printed them. So they decided to use the wide angle and shoot low to show that she was all shit and no substance. They did that on purpose.

7. Time is helping inflame BrownShirtNation with her word violence. |
|
This bogus excuse for 'examining' the Ann Goering Coulter phenomenon because Bushler/GropenFuhrer/Delay are all losing in the polls.
The corporate media is financing the rise of Hitler-style fascism in this country, just as it did in the 1920s-1940s.
Consider: I'm about to dump the evil AOL Time Warner isp but when I sign on I get a news box with the 'propaganda of the day' message from corporate world, right?
So the Time cover story of Coulter is in yesterday's AOL lying news box with the caption: 'Coulter Ingnites Furor'
Look at those keywords! Furor/Fuhrer !
Looks to me like a message to inflame neo-fascist arson and terror.
I see more horrible times ahead for this country and we all better wake up to it. They are here now.
