WP: From the Oval Office To the Doghouse (Family Counseling Time for GOP)
From the Oval Office To the Doghouse
It's Family Counseling Time for the GOP

By Marcia Davis
Washington Post Staff Writer
Saturday, October 8, 2005; Page C01

Lord, relationships are so hard.

President George W. Bush has been pounded this week, accused of being weak and practicing cronyism. He's risking it all, the critics complain, chickening out on the chance of a lifetime. Just who is this woman, Harriet Miers, anyway?

-snip-
Let's face it, there's some serious heartbreak in the ranks of people who have been devoted to the president.

People have got issues.

-snip-
It's all a matter of "mirroring" each other and validation, Wieners says. "I'd ask him to imagine looking out of Mr. Limbaugh's eyes. You don't have to agree. . . . But you can imagine how he feels."

Oh, the poor broken hearts in the GOP. It is as if Georgie cheated on them. They feel betrayed.

2. What's with these people?
The carnage, death, & destruction in Iraq for naught they can disregard but a mediocre SC nomination & they go over the deep end? I just don't get it.

3. Their goal to totally
control the judicial system for years to come is slipping away from them in their eyes.

4. It's been clear to us for quite some time that the
Bushmeister w/out exception makes incompetent, irrational decisions. This is only now apparent to them?
Simply un-f-ing-believable!!

6. Are They Serious?
This is one of the stupidest articles I have ever read in a major newspaper. We are trying to hold on to our democracy in the face of the deliberate efforts of the Bush Administration to destroy America and we get this asinine touchy-feely crap? Understanding? What they need is a trip to the woodshed and a thorough strapping. There is no reasoning with infantile, selfish, me-centric creatures like the ones in charge of our fates at this time. They understand only force and firm decision. We need, not to listen to them, but to tell them "No". They have been coddled too long and treated too gingerly. This 'family counseling' thing is the most complete bosh. :banghead:
