"George Bush. the Manchurian Candidate" (International RW media implosion) |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-09-05 11:42 PM by swag
http://www.thebusinessonline.com/SectionStories.aspx?SectionID=F200D393-0200-421B-894F-33C0717ACBD6&menu=1/3excerpt . . . But we know a lost cause when we see one: the longer President Bush occupies the White House the more it becomes clear that his big-government domestic policies, his preference for Republican and business cronies over talented administrators, his lack of a clear intellectual compass and his superficial and often wrong-headed grasp of international affairs – all have done more to destroy the legacy of Ronald Reagan, a President who halted then reversed America’s post-Vietnam decline, than any left-liberal Democrat or European America-hater could ever have dreamed of. As one astute American conservative commentator has already observed, President Bush has morphed into the Manchurian Candidate, behaving as if placed among Americans by their enemies to do them damage. 2. Too bad for the American cons that they stuck with him |

through thick and thin for so long. They've already damaged themselves beyond repair and it's way to late for "distancing" to save them now.

4. What I find really frightening |
|
what if Bush (or someone like him) actually had any sort of personal charisma?
What if the economy had done well?
What if the Iraq occupation had gone smoothly?
We are very lucky Bush is such a bungler. Next time we may not be so lucky.

8. Hey, it's not personal ... simply that Bush is BAD for Business ... |
|
And when it comes down to brass tacks, it's the multi-national corporations that RULE world politics. Bush is beginning to trash the USA Economy and the Fortune 500 are NOT all into "oil booty."
Bush-Co. will go down, not because of the true moral reasons, but because he is screwing up our economy.
Oh well, I'll take it ... hope he's out sooner rather than later. ;)

13. Boo-hoo, we warned you. And Regan? Please, he was an idiot too. |
|
We don't want any stupid right wing conservatives in the S. Court. But at least we can smirk with the childish self satisfaction of being correct even though we all have to suffer for his stupidity.
