Let's not forget Hillary's role in pushing this racist Wright crap
Remember, it's not just Hillary supporters and the M$M pushing this Wright bullshit, it's Hillary herself. Her campaign is pushing it to superdelegates. Ickes let the cat out of the bag "on the record", so don't bother denying it*. This will be a stain both on Hillary and the supporters pushing the Wright crap that will not come off easily. As far as I'm concerned you'll be rubbing the racist taint of this story off of yourselves long after Obama takes office.

If you wish to debate the merits of calling this non-issue "racist", please read TahitiNut's excellent short post here first: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x5751295

*Ickes admits it: http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/04/ickes_confirms_hes_been_pushin.php

1. The only person who made it about race was Obama when he tried to dodge
dealing with Wright by making a speech on race.

2. So it was Obama's speech that made it about race, not the fact that he had to be dealing with it in
the first place.

Please read TahitiNut's post.

11. So it was Obama's speech that made it about race, not when you idiots started screaming...
"SCARY BLACK PREACHER!!!"

Yeah, that chronology makes absolute perfect sense.

For me to poop on.

4. Criticizing Rev. Wright is anti-Obama racism?
Wright is getting crap because he's said some pretty offensive things, some of it racist on its own. And Obama is taking heat because he's been bragging about how his judgment is so much better than Hillary's, yet he managed to ignore Wright's rants for two decades.

Why is criticizing that beyond the pale, but the 24/7 hatefest aimed at Hillary and her supporters is somehow noble?

"Ickes admits it" ... and why not? Do you think Team Obama is going easy on Hillary in their own talks with the superdelegates? They read DU for new and hip ways of insulting the Clintons. Obama campaign manager David Axelrod mentions "race is a factor" every time a microphone is placed within ten feet of his mouth.

Obama supporters, to a large degree, are unable to tolerate frustration, criticism, or doubt. One week of bad news, and they're coming apart at the seams. But what we hear is how Obama is Inevitable, and Hillary must withdraw and submit, Or Else. If they're whining about what a meanie Hillary is now, what are they going to do when the Republicans start their work?

And at what point, and over what issues, are we permitted to criticize Lord Obama or any of his viceroys?

5. No, what's being said is that Wright is being used to pander to racists.
Which is true, regardless of the fact that Wright's thrown Obama under the bus to increase his own media attention.

12. Oh give me a break. Catholics didn't come out against pedophilia
Back in the 1970's or earlier.

And some Catholics were ignoring what was happening to their own children.

But Obama is supposed to be responsible for every remark out of Wright's mouth??

Please tell me how anyone can be responsible for everything that another person says!!

13. You might not believe this, but M$M will turn on your baby very soon.
I'm hoping that some serious questions surface about Senator Clinton and David Coe.
