At least we cut taxes on the rich...
WASHINGTON, July 29 — Despite renewed warnings about possible airline hijackings, the Transportation Security Administration has alerted federal air marshals that as of Friday they will no longer be covering cross-country or international flights, MSNBC.com has learned. The decision to drop coverage on flights that many experts consider to be at the highest risk of attack apparently stems from a policy decision to rework schedules so that air marshals don’t have to incur the expense of staying overnight in hotels.

1. It's because he isn't tough on terrorism...
...he coddles and supports and harbors terrorists, right up until it becomes politically advantageous for him to kill them and claim to be a hero.

2. so is this when we look for another
terrorist attack or at least an attempt? Something here smells.......meanwhile who's paying attention to the ports?

<snip>“All overnights, starting from August first through the ninth, were canceled,” an air marshal told MSNBC.com. “My told me overnights for all were being canceled for an indefinite amount of time,” said the air marshal, who requested anonymity. “The supervisors said they only had time to change schedules through the ninth.”</snip>

August first through the ninth,

You know what this reminds me of? Putting a sign on someone that says 'Kick me"

<snip> “The fact that this is coinciding with the new airline threats, it just blows our minds,” an air marshal said. “We can’t cover but at least put us on the high-threat planes, the ones traveling across the country,” the air marshal said, noting that the four planes hijacked on Sept. 11 were all scheduled cross-country flights and therefore filled to capacity with aviation fuel. Not having air marshal coverage on those types of flights, “it’s just plain scary,” the air marshal said.</snip>

I got news for you people, if I owned ANY of these airlines, I would cancel the flights.
I don't see why the air marshal's are so surprised this is part of the Bush* Neo CONservative MO.
When the hell are people going to wake up? They just don't get it, do they?

They need to realize that it doesn't matter who or what they are in this country if they aren't in with the Bush* Neo-Con click and even if they are and cross the line they too will be screwed.
Serfs, that's Us, don't count H-E-L-L-O

that means who cares if we need nurses......they dont get overtime pay
that means who cares if we need police officers or firemen.......we will cut their funding
that means who cares if we need air marshal's....... we won't fund it
that means who cares about no child left behind......we will cut funding for head-start
that means who cares about the sick or elderly.......we will bust the SS
and on and on and on......
Doing what you think (in a not through the looking-glass world) 'right thing' in *Bush's Amerika won't matter! If your middle class SO What! If you vote Repuke, SO What they 'Do NOT Care'

3. We can spend ...
4 Billion dollars a month putting our troops at risk (not to mention killing Iraqis), but when it comes to protecting American Citizens in the Fatherland, we won't spring for a hotel for an Air Marshal.

The worst part about this is the fact that I know about this (which means someone who might take advantage of this information also knows).

Cheers
Drifter

BTW - I am against armed Air Marshals on airplanes. I no longer fly.
