When all else fails...
When we have spoken and written everything that is in our souls trying to connect to the people...when we have exposed every lie and exaggeration...when we have no more energy and nothing else to say, we have no choice but to put our faith in the people. It is "We the People" that have the final word on what type of government and what type of leaders we wish to have. If, after all our efforts, the "people" choose the path that causes our nation dire harm, then what is left to do?

When freedom of speech is dead or controlled to the extent that it manipulated for the masses by the "mass media", where else can we go? We are back at square one. Just as Thomas Jefferson said in the Declaration of Independence, we have a right and a duty to overthrow such governments. But when that decision is made, we must have the support of the people behind us. Obviously, if the people vote for a continuance of present governance, they would not be behind us.

In the final analysis, we must do all we can do to get the word to the people. We cannot know what will transpire until the people have spoken in the next election. We must have faith until that time. It is a struggle that calls for endurance and strength and the recognition that it is not going to be easy or without duress.

However, we are strongest when we are the "democratic" underground rather than the "Democratic" Underground, because we are not bound by partisan ties, pitting one man of our choice against the enemy of democracy. We stand for principles that are etched in human struggles, not the whims of politicians. It is my opinion that one of the biggest mistakes that the Admins of this board made was to change "democratic" to "Democratic"...because they are not the same. One is unifying and the other is divisive. United we stand, divided we fall - the state motto of Kentucky.
