It needn't be political--but might be a decent money maker, and could bring in apolitical listeners ready to be converted.

1. On the weekend. Saturday night and all day Sunday.

I used to listen to ESPN radio like a religion. Especially during football season. It will draw the "daddy" party in. Then sprinkle ads for the weekday shows through it.

2. It's a great space-filler. You can cross-advertise the shows.
And there's any number of liberals who love sports who love to talk about them.

There is TOO MUCH sports now.. I do not want to see our one and only venue, cluttered with "celebrity gossip or sports or fluffy news"..

I am sure that people who are die-hard sports nuts AND dems, can work it out somehow :)

5. Fuck that!
There's too goddamned much sports programming on the radio now. Hell, I'm not even doing my show tonight because of the goddamned fucking Final Four.

Sports on AirAmerica. That's all the fuck we'd need! :eyes:

7. OK, OK! It's a bad idea!
Just throwing it out there. I want AirAm to succeeed from a business perspective, and if mixing in apolitical content helps support the political one, then I thought it'd be a good idea.

9. Lots of sports talkshows already though
This I know from riding in a car with a football nut. *g*

Could maybe do a politics/sports tie-in show, though. LOTS of dirty politics in sports. :P
