I want "IMPEACH" TO RING from every soundboard, every weblog, every political party. We have a gang of thieves and criminals in the highest places of our government.

Duck hunting with Scalia is just tossing it in our face.

LIES TO CONGRESS: TREASON, HIGH CRIMES!

LIES TO CONGRESS: Fill in the blanks........

1. Just by speaking out forcefully and often, John Dean...
reminds at least those old enough to remember Watergate that we have seen this kind of treachery and abuse before, but not nearly on this order of magnitude. Once again, he serves his country.

2. John Dean served his country, he paid his dues.
Thanks for speaking up DM Mom. I remember Watergate and I remember Iran-Contra and I don't want to stand for any more. I want retribution. I want our people home. NOW! George, you and your buddies, you go get on the front.

3. Nixon, Bush the elder, Reagan now the idiot.
Lies, deception, secrecy , corruption. It's a way of life with these scum bags. I am so amazed that anyone one who values freedom, our Constitution, justice and the rule of law would vote for a Republican.

4. This isn't getting picked up by US print media

After a few Google attempts, it seems the Provo Daily Herald is one of the few United States newspapers to cover this. Sad.

A thorn in Bush's side

There is something disconcerting about the way a single disaffected public official can upset the best-laid plans of his superiors, up to and including the president of the United States.

You will have guessed that I'm referring to Richard Clarke, antiterrorism coordinator for 10 years under four presidents, who exploded like a time bomb under the Bush White House with his charges that the administration, obsessed with Saddam Hussein, had done too little before Sept. 11, 2001, to counter the machinations of al-Qaida.

But before Mr. Clarke there were others who blew shrill whistles on their superiors. There was, for example, Coleen Rowley, counsel to the FBI field office in Minneapolis, who disclosed the bureau's failure to pursue the so-called 20th hijacker, Zacarias Moussaoui.

A generation ago there was former White House counsel John Dean, who started President Nixon down the road to ruin by testifying about the Watergate coverup and how he had warned Nixon of "a cancer on the presidency." (Mr. Dean seems ready to try to bring down another president. He charges manifold abuse of power in his new book, "Worse than Watergate: The Secret Presidency of George W. Bush.")

8. I read some customor reviews...
..and some reflect the Clarke and O'Neill book objections that the authors are just out to make a buck. It appears that according to many right wingos (wingoes?), nobody can write an honest book anymore because their lust for profit obscures any truth. I thought these people liked capitalism.

18. Good Dean...Bad Dean
As others have pointed out, John Dean III was the Special Consul to Richard Nixon during the Watergate cover-up...knew all, saw all...finally cracked and became a "hero" to save his ass. I've always viewed it that way...I did in 1973 and I still do today.

Mr. Dean, like Richard Clarke, somehow had a guilt trip and became critics of the same government and regime they all but gave blood to support. It's good that the truth came forward in both cases, but with dubious motives, and one must view these people that way.

Listening or reading John Dean is like listening to an oldies station. A great hit from the past, with links to the present, but no relevency. He's not an "insider"...hasn't served in government in over 30 years and writes as a pundit...mostly opinion and little, if any new fact on his subjects.

Let's forget the Impeachment noise...not gonna happen unless we're willing to work real, real, real hard and expell Repugnicans from the House. The obvious way is to create regime change through the polls and hoping the outrage in this nation is so loud that Diebold and the media can't deny it....and the SCOTUS can't steal it.

19. Not Just Diebold, And Forget the Polls
The polls don't appear to reflect what people are saying, do they? And they won't, because they have to keep the spread between Bush and Kerry very tight.

Diebold isn't the only concern. Sequoia is a big one, and ES&S and others are sitting out there under the radar currently.

Paper in 2004- and lots of auditing!
