Where are the Grateful Cheering Crowds? Bush's "Shock & Awe"

-------------------

Where are the grateful throngs, the adulation of a nation's people praying for savior bush?

Like those sacred souls, on the morning of Sept. 11., Their recourse to flee the Towers was to simply leap. Their attempt to save themselves.
Unwarned, unprotected. And those surrounding Bush were all tucked safely out of harms way.

I am so sickened by the sorrow of those Americans who witnessed indescribable horror within the Towers. Their faith was in the protection of their government and military, that such horrors would never be considered in this United States.

Where was Bush? Who among Bush's high court chose to do nothing? They knew. They all knew. What absolute cowards.

I am sickened also by the innocents, dead and broken, in Iraq. They too had no where to go for safe cover. Children, moms, dads, siblings, and pets. Worlds apart, lives shatter under the watchful eye of George Bush.

Shock & Awe. Why.

This war was unnecessary, and it will be someday, that George Bush stands before his God making his case for it all, and to somehow connect the beliefs of the Christian Right with the deaths of innocents.

Enough death. This man, George Bush needs to be held accountable.
His choices smack of something great and evil. The secrecy of the White House, lies, deceptions, and Corporate deals. All one needs do, to understand their motive is follow the money.

I hope & pray that more like Clarke, O'Neill, Plame and the courageous wives of those fallen on Sept. 11, come forward, grow a conscience, and speak in a unified voice.
For the innocents in Iraq and ours here at home.

There are no welcoming crowds in Iraq. Bush's own "Shock and Awe" is staring him back in the face.

Just a thought.....
Thanks DUers for carrying on the fight.

1. In the boardrooms of Unocal and Halliburton, and in Al-Queda's HQ
There are plenty of cheering throngs.

Think of how thrilled Al-Queda is. Before 9-11 they were a backwards bumkin organization living in caves, now they are an international movement affecting European elections and holding an excellent chance of taking over one of the most stable countries in the Middle East. Before Bush's invasion, they could get no foothold in Iraq, now they are the odds on favorites to unite the country. When the dust settles and our helicopters carry away our troops for the last time from Kabul and Bagdad, Bin Laden or his successors will have Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, with more to follow. Bin Laden will be the hero who reunited the Muslim world against the infidels-- the new Saladin, the new Old Man in the Mountain... Heck, the new Muhammad.

No kidding UBL wants Bush to be reelected. It's easier than taking candy from a baby with him and Cheney in office.

2. The CEOs
are counting their money.

The PMCs accountants are busy lobbying the Pentagon for a massive pay raise in view of the recent developments in Falluja.
