Are the Iraq War / Bush supporters over-ridden with guilt ?
Edited on Wed Apr-07-04 08:24 AM by kentuck
As I heard a caller to C-SPAN suggest this morning? What kind of actual rationalizing are these folks going thru at this time? If they supported the war, they must feel some responsibility that the continued carnage is part of their support and how much longer are they willing to support the war effort and how many more people must die in the name of "freedom" for the Iraqi people? It must make them feel good to know that we are dying for "freedom"? Strange that they were never that concerned with the Iraqi's "freedom" until Dubya became bogged down in Babylon? Is this just a continuation of their rationalization process?

They also rationalize loudly that if we "didn't fight them over there, we would be fighting them over here". They have repeated that mantra so many times that it has now become a fact to them. But do they share any responsibility for what is now happening in Iraq? Should they be feeling any guilt for supporting and propping up the lies of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and the PNAC bunch?

1. That's Sean Insannity mantra...
The only regurgitate what the radioheads say, they've never experienced an independent thought formed by logic. I feel sorry for them, sheep being lead over the cliff.

2. The media brainwashers are the guilty ones
They bear far more responsibility than the sheeple who didn't realize what a distorted and biased portrayal of the situation was being presented to them.

19. Well, at least you admit it
I'm always amazed at those who have no conscience, even when the body bags start coming home. Priceless.

6. No. They are feeling stupid for letting a former drunk/crackhead lead...
...them and our country into an ill-advised, illegal, and immoral war. That is my guess anyway.

11. Nor should you
Our troops knew what they were getting into when they signed up. Death comes with the territory and war-mongers bear no responsibility. Same goes for the Iraqi civilians, if they don't like it, they can move! But the people who beat the drums for this war are not responsible in the least, in fact, they are becoming the innocent victims of the peaceniks.

8. "Freedom Isn't Free"
To quote one of their favorite bumper stickers. Or to quote Rumsfeld, "You have to crach a few eggs to make an omelet."

You have to have a conscience before you can feel guilt. I doubt that applies to the bush* apologists.

9. People who blindly believe or follow the administration
never accept any concept of possibly being wrong. It is a cult that has been sustained over the last decade by political hate speech of any political or popular opposition.

16. Pod People
It's like they have some chemical go off in their brain when they hear the right wing mantra

Oh and kill them over there so they don't come over here - was a term used frequently during the Vietnam war. And guess what - after our soldiers left THEIR country - not one single Vietnamese came over to kill anybody. Imagine that.

17. Is it in the water? The air? What is it that the Pub Sheep fail to feel
guilt and remorse over voting for Bush? The evidence is clear,

he is an amateur in the Pro's Office. The mistakes are mind boggling. People are dying because of HIS and Staff Mistaken beliefs
that Force is King.

Force Rules.

But they never got it that this Force thing is OLD HAT and that there are other ways to solve problems. That failure to understand is almost intentional. Their philosophy prevents seeking solutions other than FORCE/Bribery/Intimidation. Their Philodsophy demands Control and Domination so as to exploit. These guys are very clever but so was other dictators staff.
