Damn, Kennedy said the V word

And the news is full of opinions on whether it is or isn't V and in either case is it unamerican to use the V word in public address.

"Sadly, this Administration has failed to live up to basic standards of open and candid debate. On issue after issue, they tell the American people one thing and do another. They repeatedly invent "facts" to support their preconceived agenda."

And hammered it home with a dozen clear and easily verified examples.

But he said the V word, and I see 20 republicans shouting "You can't compare this to V!" and a half dozen democrats saying "we have a right and duty to call a V when we see one!"

And nobody touches the other 12 accusations. I don't even see anyone pointing out that Iraq IS like the young v was before it grew into the big bad V.

Kennedy needs to call them out, spend 5 minutes clarifying the V thing and grill them on the 12 other accusations and the overall theme of the speech.
