Great link: Condi Rice lies exposed one by one!
Wow, these guys are fast. The Center for American Progress has their analysis of Condi's testimony up within a couple of hours, and they totally blow Rice apart:

Claim vs. Fact: Condoleezza Rice's Opening Statement

http://www.americanprogress.org/site/pp.asp?c=biJRJ8OVF&b=44887

Claim vs. Fact: Rice's Q&A Testimony Before the 9/11 Commission

http://www.americanprogress.org/site/pp.asp?c=biJRJ8OVF&b=44918

This is a must read! Please spread this far and wide. Get the mainstream media to notice this!

1. CAP is the left's WAR ROOM

I strongly recommend signing up their their daily "Progress Report" for MORE of the same.

they are on TOP of things. (Eric Alterman is one of the main guys there) and they do a regular spot on AirAmerica too (don't remember if it's during Morning Sedition or Unfiltered)

4. Given that she was under oath...
Like, is she headed for jail now?

She took the approach of spouting her mouth off, talking and talking and talking (filibustering, to use Kerrey's word). She can now pay the price.

9. perjury?
Who would be in charge of inciting her for perjury? I'd love to see that happen (in my dreams, I know).

10. thanks...
from the American Progress site / your link:

CLAIM: "The threat reporting that we received in the Spring and Summer of 2001 was not specific as to...manner of attack."

FACT: ABC News reported, Bush Administration "officials acknowledged that U.S. intelligence officials informed President Bush weeks before the Sept. 11 attacks that bin Laden's terrorist network might try to hijack American planes." Dateline NBC reported that on August 6, 2001, the President personally "received a one-and-a-half page briefing advising him that Osama bin Laden was capable of a major strike against the US, and that the plot could include the hijacking of an American airplane." Rice herself actually admitted this herself, saying the Aug. 6 briefing the President received said "terrorists might attempt to hijack a U.S. aircraft."

-------------

Reading the above mentioned article at ABC - I noticed something that Condolezza Rice does repeatedly:

> Quote: "It is always a question of how good the information is and whether putting the information out is a responsible thing to do," Rice said. "You would have risked shutting down the American civil aviation system with such generalized information. You would have to think five, six, seven times about that, very, very hard."

----------------

MY bolding above and my comment:

She tries to shift blame / or responsibility - to "You" over and over - I've heard her do this many times - rather than saying "We" or "I" - it seems to me - that she uses words in this way (these shifty shifts) as another way to try and remove herself and the Bush admin. from responsibility...
