Howard Stern accuses Administration of a "Witch Hunt"

Here's his statement, on his homepage, in reaction to the FCC fines of the $495,000 fine against Clear Channel for carrying "graphic sexual discussion and humor" on the Howard Stern Show.

I'm not the world's biggest Stern fan, but he's really been swinging the bat for those of us who can't wait to hit Bush outta da park... and it's important that someone speaks up about the "nannying" of Colin Powell, Jr.

Howard's Response To The FCC's Actions:

"This is not a surprise. This is a follow up to the McCarthy type "witch hunt" of the administration and the activities of this group of presidential appointees in the FCC, led by "Colin Powell Jr." and his band of players. They and others (a senator from Kansas City to a congresswoman from New Mexico) are expressing and imposing their opinions and rights to tell us all who and what we may listen to and watch and how we should think about our lives. So this is not a surprise. It is pretty shocking that governmental interference into our rights and free speech takes place in the U.S. It's hard to reconcile this with the "land of the free" and the "home of the brave". I'm sure what's next is the removal of "dirty pictures" like the 20th century German exhibit in a New York City Museum and the erotic literature in our libraries; they too will fall into their category of "evil" as well.

to admit his support of Shrub was wrong and he made a mistake, and he's really opened up his eyes to what's really going on and is helping his listeners do the same. When he turned against Shrub, that's when I knew that the tide was really, finally, beginning to turn our way!

5. Does anybody here have an "in" with Howard Stern?

I have been trying to contact him for weeks to discuss archiving his shows on http://www.WhiteRoseSociety.org/ as the censorship of his free speech offends me so greatly. So far, I have not had any luck in getting a message to anybody who will reply. If anybody here knows somebody I can contact in his organization to discuss this matter, I would be most grateful if you could put me in contact with that person.
