PREDICTION: John Kerry will lose the popular vote. . .
But win the electoral college. The Republicans will scream "bloody murder," gnash their teeth, try to hold up his swearing-in, and push aggressively to ban the electoral college.

And their anger will be sweet, sweet revenge.

1. beware. . .
30% of voters will vote on BBV's. They are truly a greater threat to democracy than terrorism. OBone, S1980 & HR 2239 are our only hope!!!

2. It won't be anywhere near close enough.
With all that been happening, I'm really starting to believe it's gonna be Kerry. In a walk.

I know that's a little cock-sure, but you can just feel this turning of the tides in the country... and I think that most people will be numb to Bush's phony, fake, Kerry-bashing ads by the time fall rolls around.

5. I suspect you may be right
That is also my instinct about this election. Alas, there is a long way to go, and my instincts were waaay off in 2002. (Though they were pretty much correct in 2000.)

That is way IMHO, states like WV have to be carried.

4. Screw that. We're takin 'em out!
That wouldn't be revenge IMHO.

I'd rather see Kerry dominate every swing state, followed by voting problems in Waco, Texas. That's my revenge.

7. I hope for a popular win, but...
...this scenario that you present would be particularly hilarious, as I have said to a coworker. I would love it!

9. While the irony would be sweet, I am becoming more convinced
each day that Bush is going to lose big in November.

10. I think the other way around is much more probably
Kerry win the popular vote (this time by 2 million+) but lose the electorcal college by single digits.

11. If that does happen (which I doubt, he'll win the popular vote),
Edited on Thu Apr-08-04 04:34 PM by gsc2749
it'll be a civil war (between parties).

13. It depends...
I think that there is enough dirt out there to have this administration impeached, should it all come out. If there is the slightest chance of that happening, I belive that the powers that be in the Republican party will hang Bush out to dry rather than have another Republican president impeached AND removed from office.

I guess we'll just have to see what happens with regards to a few lines of inquiry: The energy papers, what kind of warnings they were recieving prior to 9/11, etc, and do our best to make sure that they stay in the public eye...
