Rice said "We're keeping our eye on" Iran (nukes), Hamas and Hezbollah |
|
after Thompson asked her about these festering threats to national security yesterday.
Does knowledge the bush admin is "keeping their eyes on" these volatile national security issues make you feel better, now that Rice said so under oath?
How many excellent employees have left government service under bush. Who is minding the store?
Rice said no one told her to do anything about national security issues (from the bottom up, like FBI or CIA) so she didn't. Even after she was told there were active AQ cells in the country and after the Aug 6th PDB, she said, no one said we should do anything about that - there was no action plan (paraphrased).Dick Clarke told her.
It's her J-O-B to oversee this stuff - she is totally inept at connecting any dots and having the common sense to take the next step - even when Dick Clarke hands it to her already connected and with a plan saying - here is the next step.
bush the lesser is in Crawford. I wonder what Cheney is doing today. Hell, I wonder what LYNNE Cheney is doing today - she was giving advice to the principals on 9/11 in that safe room.
Is anyone competent and honorable watching our butt?

2. Watch Daily Show Monday at 7 |
|
Thursday night's Daily Show was brutal in their analysis of Rice's testimony. They really exposed the hypocracy and the evasion. For the Committee members who tried to ask hard questions, Rice repeatedly wasted their very limited allotted time with discussions about the Lusitannia sinking in 1915 and the Hungarian revolt of 1956.
I believe it will be repeated Monday at 7 p.m. They also have some Daily Show clips on the www.comedycentral.com website (click TV shows), but that clip was not posted as of Friday morning.
