Now I understand the Republican strategy |

1. Clinton would have done the same thing
2. The real enemy is terrorism, not us
What a distortion. First of all CLINTON DID NOT INVADE IRAQ!, and why doesn't anyone talk about PNAC!!!
Blaming terrorism, is fine, but any critisism of this administration, and their thugs imply to critisize is anti-American

Clinton would NOT have done the same thing. Let's turn the clocks back a couple of years and remember that Clinton and Blair decided to bomb Iraq under "Operation Fox". There were several nights that US and UK planes bombed various Iraqi installations.
The right-wingers IMMEDIATELY started stating that Clinton was "wagging the dog" because of the Lewinsky scandal. Funny how these things get "forgotten"... :eyes:
As for "terrorism"...ask the Iraqis WHO the real terrorists are...

2. To paraphrase Josh Marshall... |

They give you these twisted arguments where the spectacular failure of their policies is cited as proof of the need to continue them.

3. The "news" media is still trying to hide all those embarassing details. |

Considering PNAC is out national defense posture, you would think someone would mention it. But then no one mentioned (except me) how much money the Bush's were making through the Carlyle Group on all these wars.
