(...well you can syndicate any boat you row...)
Anyways, I'm on a local chat room tonight and I get in this little tussle with this guy that I suspect is only in the Republican game for the percieved sense of personal achievment and responisibility it affords one's self-esteem. I refer to these people I suspect of such as "vanitycons". Yesterday another member of the chat room (not the vanitycon, another person) was repeating the spin that the AAR check bounced, and when I said they put a stop-payment on it he said it didn't make a difference because it meant a lack of funds either way.
:eyes:
Anyways...let's listen. I've changed the names to my DU name and "vanitycon". Oh, and the "I'm the one who broke it" part refers to the thread I started when I woke up puzzled Wednesday that I was hearing a spanish-language station:

<LoZoccolo> NEW YORK (AP) -- A radio network aimed at liberal audiences expects to be back on the air in Chicago on Friday.

http://www.mlive.com/newsflash/business/index.ssf?/newsflash/get_story.ssf?/cgi-free/getstory_ssf.cgi?a0771_BC_LiberalRadio-Dispute&&news&newsflash-financial<LoZoccolo> Gee, I didn't think they were gonna make it past friday. Someone told me they ran out of money and bounced a million-dollar check.
<Vanitycon> ah, the democratic way.. sue..
<LoZoccolo> Uh, if you paid for air time, and they were turning around selling it to someone else, you'd let them?
<LoZoccolo> I didn't know the Republican way was "letting people rip you off".
<Vanitycon> well, seeing as that article doesn't have any facts
<Vanitycon> that's just a fucking stupid statement
<Vanitycon> either a check bounced or it didn't. either the payments were made or not
<Vanitycon> you're naturally assuming the wackjobs are right, and i'm assuming neither side is right based on that story
<Vanitycon> i really don't care about it that much, other than posting that tripe and then presuming it's factual is ridiculous
<LoZoccolo> Hahahaha
<LoZoccolo> mlive = propaganda
<Vanitycon> yeah, you say that about most evetything that doesn't agree with you
<LoZoccolo> I've been following this story pretty closely. I'm the one who broke it! Drudge came to me for the news!
<Vanitycon> it's a pretty lame story all around, really
<Vanitycon> especially how certain sides tend to partisanize it beyond all reality
<LoZoccolo> Wait a second, so you're saying that you question the story being factual even though a court of law ruled on it?
<Vanitycon> they gave an injunction
<Vanitycon> that's a long way from a ruling
<LoZoccolo> Oh I give up! The check bounced! Hahahaha.
<Vanitycon> it's a trying to prevent harm whilst the facts are established in court
<Vanitycon> i have no idea if it bounced or not
<LoZoccolo>

<LoZoccolo> Unfactual tripe!
<Vanitycon> if you present facts, fine
<Vanitycon> but that other article had none
<Vanitycon> is this too simple for you to comprehend?
<Vanitycon> wait, how can a NY state judge order a chicago anything?
<LoZoccolo> Vanitycon, like I said, I've been following the story really closely. I know a lot of stuff that wasn't in that one article.
<Vanitycon> well, most of us probably don't give a hoot about all the partisian radio station bickering, and haven't been
<LoZoccolo> So like, when I'm sitting here knowing all that stuff, and you're like "well technically they didn't say this or that in the article", it's kind of funny!
<Vanitycon> it's completely factual
<Vanitycon> they didn't say shit in what you posted
<LoZoccolo> Hahahaha
<Vanitycon> it says both sides, and a temporary restraining order
<Vanitycon> it has absoultely no fact about what really happened payment wise
<LoZoccolo> When I was a kid, I got in an argument with this other kid, who thought it was the funniest thing that I didn't think squirrels laid eggs.
<LoZoccolo> He was like "hahahaha what do you think there's squirrel doctors to deliver the babies!"
<Vanitycon> uh, okay
<LoZoccolo> Now I don't fault him for not knowing that, I just think it's funny as fuck how arrogant he got about it.
<Vanitycon> so, are you telling me i'm arrogant about saying that article you posted didn't have any facts in it?
<LoZoccolo> <Vanitycon> ah, the democratic way.. sue..
<LoZoccolo> Bingo.
<Vanitycon> i don't see how that is arrogant
<LoZoccolo> I know you don't see how that is arrogant.
