Do you trust George Tenant?
Edited on Fri Apr-16-04 12:31 AM by devrc243
I watch him and he's such a "good ol' boy" looking kind of guy, but damn, his world is falling in and he doesn't seem to know which way to paddle.

Watching him this week, I found myself oddly "mesmorized" by his candor and constant "twitching."

3. I distrust anyone with a pendulous, quivering bottom lip.
It's an Alfred Hitchcock thing...old dude always gave me the heebie-jeebies. When the pendulous lip quivers in front of a lying mouth wired to an evil mind it's absolutely nightmarish.

4. No
But by the same token I somehow doubt that BushCo really trsust him or the CIA anymore, especially after all the bs they've pulled on them.

5. Tenet knows exactly what's going on...he's an intel heavy-hitter...
...with almost thirty years in the business.

Just curious, but who do you think gave permission to the former CIA officers to go public in their condemnation of the NeoCons for exposing Valerie Plame? Who do you think is responsible for the almost constant leaks about the NeoCons and the way they've conducted their business?

Here's a resume on Tenet:
=================================

It should become readily apparent even at first glance that Tenet has been in the intelligence game for quite some time. Even his education screams out "intelligence" and "foreign service". Note also that the individual with whom he was meeting on the morning of 911 was former Senator David Boren, D-OK...check out Boren's job as Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and Tenet's job title as well. Even Tenet's first two jobs after leaving college indicate positions that would have provided him the cover necessary to do his job as part of the intelligence community.

Bottom-line: Tenet is a long-time player in the intelligence community and knows where the bodies are buried and how to get hat information released to the public if something happens to him. IMHO, Junior pissed off the wrong guy.

Yale grad and Bonesman. Rhodes Scholar.
"Another interesting Bonesman is David Lyle Boren, the Senate Democrat from Oklahoma. While he is not an employee of the CIA (some say this is open to question), Boren nevertheless is part of the intelligence community because he is the chair of the Select Committee on Intelligence."

7. Actually, yes. But he's not coming clean with what he knows.
Something is going on behind the scenes I think. He may well be compromised, maybe blackmailed by the Bushistas. But, if so, he's equally got the goods on them.

It is totally non-sensical why Bush did not shitcan Tenet after 9/11. He was a Clinton appointee, afterall. Who better to blame? But he didn't. Same with the supposed bad intel that got us into Iraq. Should have been dumped, but wasn't.

Why? Is George blackmailing George?

11. How can we trust anyone at the top of such a food chain?
At the best of times I would take the words of a CIA director with grains and grains of salt. And these aren't the best of times.
