Terrible. The question of influence on morale. The army is telling relatives not to tell the press about the water heater breaking, etc. and not having spouse to help.

and then they tried to prove that people in the military are not poor, disadvantaged, or minorities (implication majority is white and middle class? anybody has the statistics?)

Iraq in Nov. of 2000? (I am not sure I heard correctly)
He remembers notes the day after 9/11 notes saying attack SH at the same time as UBL (I guess Rumsfeld calls him Usama)
