New Mexico Democrats: Check In! |
|
How many New Mexicans are members of DU? I am sick (make that really sick) of KKOB and Clear Channel. Larry Ahrens and Jim Villanuchi are such whores. In the remote area where I live, KKOB is the only station I can get. I have been listening to KKOB for more than 30 years, long before Clear Channel ruined it. We are force fed Rush Limbaugh and Dr. Laura. Horse shit. Why do we have to be presented with only one view? I’m sick of it and ready to do whatever it takes to get equal representation. Wouldn’t it be great to get a couple hours of AirAmericaRadio? Who is with me? We can write letters, call the station, boycott advertisers, picket advertisers, … whatever it takes. Let’s do it. Keep this kicked. :kick:

Sounds like a plan!
I wouldn't know what to do without NPR on KUNM and I listen to the internet stream of Air America (when it's available) but a local feed would be great!

2. Here!! And: "Hear, hear!!" |
|
We've got to have a diet that feeds us, instead of the vomit Rush and Dr. Laura spew. I am very rural, but would support you city slickers in whatever. NPR on national news and commentary is disgusting, but locally out of Las Cruces, they are good.
Anything to bring us into the 21st century!! Rush and Dr. Laura want to take us back to the Dark Ages.

I think it would be great, but I would miss him here in New Mexico. My parents are teachers and Richardson has done so much to improve the profession.

10. I actually know Bill, and Bruce King. |
|
Bruce King was really great. Bill has helped me in the past, but I kinda don't care for how he panders to KKOB. At least it seems that way, but he may be doing what he has to do. I know he would support us in our effort to get equal time. Bill has to much baggage to run for VP. I would prefer Edwards.

12. He IS helping the state economically, in a tiny way. |
|
We are one of the few states that grew economically this past year.Mostly minimum-wage type jobs, but jobs. Kerry would love to have him on the ticket, because they both are for NAFTA,WTO, etc. Richardson was Clinton's arm-twister on NAFTA. But we do need him here. He is such an improvement over the last governor, we are grateful.
But there are a lot of hard-core repugs, Bush can do no wrong-ers,fundamentalists, oil and gas promoters, and transplanted Conservative Texans that WE REALLY NEED HELP with radio. And TV is just as bad.

All I have heard is the Hannity radio show on our local talk radio station. It is KOBE or something like that I think. It is in the same building as Magic 105.
I guess our only choice is to listen to Air America on the internet.
I don't think we have NPR either. I am not sure.
