Maryland at least, has some good liberal Democrats
The Maryland Senate just passed a living wage bill that will make wages a minimum of $10.50 for any employer who contracts with the state! They also passed a universal healthcare bill earlier in the year. I am proud of these Democrats! Anyone know of any other progressive legislation they have been able to push through?

3. Lead paint clean up is a hot issue right now.
We're trying to get landlords to deal with lead paint clean up, which causes horrible health problems for children.

Actually, it's really cool living in a city (Baltimore) that is 90% Dem!

Marylanders should know what I'm talking about. For those who don't it's about equal funding of schools.
