Tweety just slaughtered Toomey over abortion |
|
Catch it on the rerun if you can.
He asked Toomey if he advocated banning abortion. Of course, Toomey said yes. Tweety asked what a woman's punishment would be if she should have a banned abortion in Pennsylvania. Toomey said he'd go after the doctor. Tweety interrupted, asking why the perpetrator (woman) wouldn't be penalized.
Anyway, after a few go-rounds with stock answers, Toomey said he hadn't figured out what he'd do once Roe vs Wade was overturned. Tweety said, "Well, shouldn't you figure out these things beforfe you run for office?"

I have never seen him go after anyone quite like he just did. It was heartwarming to see this. Very unusual for him to give it to a republican like that.

4. Yeah. And he asked why moderate Repubs like Specter |
|
can't be accommodated in the Republican Party. Why are only conservatives allowed? Why is Specter bad?

Tweety just won the election for Arlen Specter. Anybody see it? |
|
I don't know the name of the Rethug goon who is running against him but Tweety just had this guy stammering and stuttering like an idiot about his abortion stance. The Rethug wants to outlaw abortion but he don't want to say what he thinks the penalty the women should get for having one. Taliban exposed for the Pennsylvania voters. Yep.

When Tweety smells a lightweight he really pulls the goves off.
He kept pounding him with "What would you do to her?" referring to a woman that had an abortion if it were against the law.

but it was kind of ironic that he basically flipped that argument on Kucinich several months ago when he challenged him to name someone that would make abortion a criminal act for the mother. Kucinich did (Chris Smith), mistakenly, and got hammered for it.

We definitely don't need the nightmare "representation" of Santorum/Toomey, that's for sure. Do you think Hoeffel would have an easier time against Toomey, though? I've heard people say that's why the conservative GOP establishment (Santorum, Bush, et al.) is stumping so hard for Specter even though he's a moderate---they're trying to cling tight to that nominal "majority."

22. Hoeffel could win against Toomey, I mean we do have |
|
Rendell now, which is why I think the GOP is backing Specter. And I forget which thing that Specter is on, but he is almost in the main leadership chair, which will bring millions back to PA. Republicans (in Pa) would have to be completely crazy to nominate Toomey.
But Specter is getting a pretty good spanking from the GOP. They are trying to teach him a lesson.
Back in November the GOP had Specter by the throat cause he inserted a overtime protection into a law. I think then they told him, that if he didn't take it out that they would support Toomey.
In November I will vote for Hoeffel no matter what, but I don't think he has much chance against Specter.

Tweety grabbed him by the neck and wouldn't let go. See it on rerun if you can!
Looney's opponent is Arlen Specter- who is "closer to Ted Kennedy than the average" Rethug in the Senate.
Looney was TOAST! I am sure he won't want to see the rerun.

Now he's got Father Greeley on, bashing the stupid TWO priests who said Kerry shouldn't be given communion. Every other priest in the country, according to Greeley, was MUTE on the subject. Supporting our Democratic presumptive nominee, BIG TIME!! :bounce:

12. Well, my guess as to why he hasn't figured it out, is |
|
He really thinks this:
Doctors are mature, educated, professional individuals. They should know what is (Toomey's idea of) right and moral. They must be accountable for their actions.
Women, on the other hand, are pretty much talking sows. They are incapable of making decisions. Therefore, they cannot be held responsible for the actions they take. After all, you would not prosecute a sow for doing what, for a thinking human, would be a crime, now would you?
Sheesh.
Either that, or he's trying to have it both ways. Which is it, sir? Is it a crime, or not?

23. Oh yeah. I forgot about that. Shucks, I can't help it. |
|
What a conundrum. A Lady Doctor (that's just wrong) doing a procedure on a talking sow, and the sow can't make decisions. Who to punish? Who to punish?
I need to quit talking, I'm a sow, and I am of course very confused. And this typing is killing me, with the cloven hooves and all.

I can't believe that Looney guy (i forgot his real name) wasn't prepared to answer the question about how the woman should be penalized? He probably did figure out that if she goes to the slammer, then probably most of the women in PA won't vote for him. What a piece of garbage. All he cares about is keeping women down.

Nothing more than a brainless regurgitator of the farthest right wing talking points. I remember watching in disbelief at his predictability during one of his press conferences.

19. Tweety only really takes |
|
the gloves off when he has a lighter weight anti-abortion politco on. Tweety is way pro-choice and for that i applaud him . My niece was thinking of going to Holy Cross last year until the administration banned Tweety from speaking at the graduation ceremony because of his abortion views. She diecided to go elsewhere after that.

20. I'm sure he would have liked to say "stone her", but he hadn't polled |
|
it yet so he didn't know how that would sit with voters. As far as I can tell, there is no prohibition, therefore no proscribed punishment in the bible. They did say the father could decide the cost of the fine if the unborn child is killed, but if the mother is killed it is murder and requires the death penalty, in old Jewish law.

That exchange was a thing of beauty for sure, but if Toomey were to win the nom he'd get his ass kicked in the general. We'd end up with a Dem in Spector's seat. Can dems vote in the Pa. gop primary?
