3. After all of the good news Bush got....
...last week, these numbers def. make sense. If the casualty countin Iraq gets to a 1000 I bet Bush will have a ten point lead on Kerry...

My hope that this country will awaken from its stupor diminishes daily.

7. well, if your "irony" refers to his spelling, then you reveal yourself
to be one who won't be here very long, not understanding that the spelling was deliberate; a reference to one of your pals, no doubt

enjoy your brief stay

moran

12. Maybe not...
a lot of well-meaning people who are new here don't understand why we say "moran". Don't jump to conclusions.

11. No it is a nation ensared by Soviet-level Pravda
The Busheviks are simply building their backstory for when they steal the election.

If they are feeling bold enough to use CNN/USA as their Pravda-counter, we are in bad trouble.

Remeber, we are to the Busheviks as the Soviet Citizens were to the Bolsheviks.

Believe NOTHING they say and NONE of their CORPORATE PRAVDA.

In the absence of truth, we are going to have to find our own way, like Soviets in 1978.

Sad but true.

6. The more I look at these numbers
they really haven't changed THAT much. Bill Schneider acted like the pendulum had swung completely over to Bush's side. The movements aren't that drastic. I just don't understand why, after this week, especially, the pendulum hasn't swung further towards John Kerry. Maybe after Woodward's book makes the rounds... I don't know anymore. I really don't. I do know one thing, people who I thought would NEVER doubt Bush and who I thought were 100% going to vote for him are saying no, they won't. So what's the deal with this poll? Maybe the Saudis own it, or something.

8. right.......what was CNN's last poll? didn't it have chimp ahead?
they're trying to make it seem a dramatic swing after the Newsweek poll of last week, which had Kerry ahead by seven, w/o Nader.

anybody remember those previous CNN numbers? they had him ahead by at least two, maybe four points, so that swing isn't drastic, just amazing 'cause of all the very bad things that have happened in the last two weeks

10. If I remember correctly...

Bush's number was the same in their last poll. The change would be in Kerry's numbers.

Edit: after looking at the numbers and the dates, it all just seems to be MOE movement. Bush at 51, then 48, then back up to 51 and Kerry between 45 - 47. There is basically no change in this poll.

13. These polls are a lot of horses**t
Lookit that poll question: "Did Woodward's book change your mind?" what kind of stupid question is that?
THese CNN polls are push polls: "Given that we have not had a single large scale terrorist attack since 9/11, and given that John Kerry has had nightmares which are disturbing to say the least to his rich ketchup-heir wife, who probably arranged the plane accident which killed her first husband that oh-too-liberal-senator from Pennsylvania, and given that Kerry committed war atrocities which he admitted to on MTP, and given that you have to admit that it's pretty interesting that Misterpresident might be getting it on with a black chick who happens to be his National Security Advisor from California since she did manage to refer to him as her husband on at least one occasion, would you be more likely to vote for the Great Patriot himself, GW Bush, or for that Jane Fonda lovin', multiple starlet dating, liberal predator from the Union of Massachsetts Soviet Republic?

Fair question?

14. 767 dummies
and a 4% margin of error

Proof of nothing.

How do they figure a poll like this has only a 4% margin of error?
