I am Boycotting ALL Poll Threads ! |
|
Polls are worthless in April, from now until about august or september I plan to boycott all threads about polls.
Look at the 2000 election, 105 million people voted, roughly 48% voted Democrat (Gore) and 48% voted Republican (Bush) the other 4% was spread between nader and buchanan.
The Democrats will vote for Kerry and the Republicans will vote for Bush.
The outcome will be decided in a few swing states, these polls in April are worthless. What if Iraq breaks out in civil war in June, or september, what will the polls say then.
Do yourself a favor and forget about the polls until about august or september.
That is what I plan to do.

You know what a likely voter is ?
It's a person who answers the phone, when asked "are you likely to vote" they say yes.
You don't know if they are registered to vote, you don't know if they have ever voted, you don't know if they are a republican or a democrat, you don't know how old they are, you don't know how informed they are, you don't know anything about them.
That is why most of these polls are worthless. The average joe six pack who works all day then gets his news from CNN, MSNBC, and FOX is mostly clueless, and these are the people taking these polls.
I do not trust any poll that does not sample registered voters, and those are only accurate a month or two before the election. A poll of likely voters in April when the election is in November is totally worthless.

2. You are correct taht polls are useless, but where they are USEFUL |
|
is that they are indicators of what Pravda the Busheviks are tryuing to sell them.
In other words, as measurements of human thinking they are worthelss and moreso now that we know that they've all been Freeped, either by Brownshirts or sympathetic Mockingbirds or Brownshirts.
They are still very useful in understanding what LIES the Imperials are trying to sell us. They are also a good indicator of how close or far at any given time Imperial Amerika is to the Soviet Union.

3. Gave up after the primaries |
|
I used to post "Who cares at this point" replys but I don't even read them now. The poll threads just don't stop. They're a waste of time and energy, especially now. It's a terrible way to live your life.

5. I Agree mad_as_hell...... |

I think we should stop posting poll results until about august or september, all it does is clutter up the board and waste everyones time.
Polls are worthless in April, when the election is in November.

9. First meaningful poll is about two weeks post-Republican convention |
|
The bounce will have settled. Campaign full swing. Prior to the debates.
State polls are interesting prior to that point, but I can't imagine paying any attention to an early national poll or any threads it inspires.
