This is a quote from my cousin, Onondaga Chief Oren Lyons. I'm just putting it on here, because I notice with some concern that not only are there "agents of discontent" ("aren't you sorry that Kerry is the nominee?"- types), but more: many of my brothers and sisters are beginning to participate in the internal fighting that the enemy hopes will occure here. I would ask that each of you take a few minutes to remember that our strength is found in our diversity. We should be careful not to insult or belittle any sincere member of this forum, even if we find their viewpoints very different than our own.
I will close with a quote from Gandhi: "Intolerance betrays a want of faith in one's cause." Thank you for taking the time to consider this message.

i personally feel this is a great spiritual "breaking point" in this election too. While I don't often articulate it here.

Seems to me that the world is on a knife edge of realizing we are all everything or going to the "dark" side of each one is alone and for him(her)self.

This planet is crying out for us to understand it is our mother and too many can't hear the pleas.

Too many people are engaged in war and hatred feeding the negative energies even further.

Please remember to love and KNOW every man is your brother and every tree your friend lest we lose what gives liberals their strength and center.

That's the last time I will make a "fuzzy wuzzy" wacko peacenik plea, but I won't forget why I walk the streets of my neighborhood and knock on people's doors. I must lead from love or I kill my soul.

I Feel it too. The battle coming...I have spent alot of time in dispair.I have spent time asking why,then it turns to when now it is how..
I am so glad DU is here.
I hope I can be useful and walk in the best way through the coming times,I hope I can keep focussed on the things that matter and help humanity find itself it's spirit,love each other just as they are,and help us all balance and heal inside.
I hope when someone needs me I can be there to share whatever I got ,to warm them and still thier fears in the midst of the storm. I want to give back my all.

We are all equal AND unique.Individuals and one.
We are each soverign people a kingdom of selfhood..but we cannot just take what we want in this world regardless of the soverign others around us .
We have a terible disease,in the heart and mind in the spirit of humankind we must overcome if we are to exist.The disease is domination,selfishness and exploitation,a lack of empathy and love for others.

There is no better or lesser than when it comes to the preciousness of living things.
There is only this disease in the heart and the healing of it.
How this battle unfolds and is fought is up to us all.

8. This awareness is manifesting in many people right now-

and it is accelerating-
I am a Christian and also very connected to the Blackfoot
spirituality, a sacred medicine culture in particular.
I am certain that ALL people of spirit are aware of this
battle, and what is needed to counter the darkness
that is rising to engage us in conflict.
I posted something similar a few days ago-
I felt it was very important to encourage people to seek
light and goodness right now and in the days to come.
I agree with your Uncle, there is a great battle coming,
and if people do not start now, in disciplining their spirit
to tune into the light and truth of unity, they will succumb to fear and
confusion- open doors for the darkness to prey on them.
