3. I don't know the more I see him, the more I think he was
trotted out to shill for Bu$h. He just mentioned something about how the chimp had no doubts, and "people want a strong president."

Pass the barf bag. Days like this, I miss Howard Dean!!!

5. Kill the messenger, or listen to the message?
my God, perhaps he wore mismatched socks too.
Does that make all that he has reported incorrect?

6. He also said that Bush has no doubts...
Blair had written Bush a letter about having doubts about the war when he got letters from parents who had lost sons/daughters, Bush barely let him finish the sentence before saying that he has no doubts...what person in their right mind would have zero doubts when making a decision about life and death!!

Woodward says that Bush is a strong leader because of this, WTF!?!?says that is what the election is going to be about...Bush is a strong leader because he has no doubt?!?! My dog has doubt, everyone has doubt because none of us are perfect...at least anyone with a brain will have doubt...

Welcome to the United Theocracy of America...God told him to do this, and now he has no doubt...this really bothers me!!

13. The crazy thing is people like that. Talking to God!
I hate to tell these people but so did the guy at Waco and at Jonestown. All these nuts think they talk to God and God talks back.Do we all get kool-aid next?

7. Apparently, that pronounciation is de riguer
among the vaunted who hang with generals and such.

Kinda like you have to say "bidness" if you are a business person in Texas.

8. Were you listening to Majority report the other night when the
Nuclear expert (sorry I can't think of her name) was on, and she kept saying slowly and clearly Nu-Clee-Ar.

You know it was cute when Amy Carter said, "Nuckieyer" but damn, can't someone at least get Chimpy a voice coach.

Real Mairkens s'port the troops. Real Mairkens want ter see terrists punished fer their evil deeds. Real Mairkens know that Saddam had nucular weapons and weapons of mass destruction.

16. Dr. Helen Caldicott
She rocks! She founded Physicians for Social Responsibility. I saw her on Free Speech TV not too long ago and she was on fire. Wow!

I laughed when she kept correcting Sam Seder.

But shouldn't Woodward know how to pronouce the damned word???

10. Where is Woodward from?
He has a funky little accent. It's sort of familiar, but I can't place it.

11. Coded message that he's on Bush's side. Russert does the same
thing.

When Bush uses an odd pronunciation or unusual jargon, often you'll hear it repeated by the RW-sympathizers in the media.

I don't think it's an accident. These people aren't totally ignorant. I think they do it a little bit as a joke, but it achieves two purposes: it sort of normalizes what is otherwise a mistake, and it sends a signal to the Republicans that they're on their side.

I wonder the same thing. If the man is more interested in his legacy as "Super Journalist", then he really ought to be more obliged to get the truth out than to prop up the Chimp. I really want something I can still believe in. I hope Woodward is subtly "outing" him.

18. What I've heard so far, it seems to have a ring of truth....
...which means he's "propping him up" to the right, confirming what we've mostly felt on the left, but, most importantly, outing him to the swings. Seems good to me.
