I don't get the "[Candidate] losing support among [group]" news |

I really don't understand the point in shwoing this, aside from blatantly trying to manipulate people as followers. Presumably, candidates should be getting this info themselves from their campaigns and speaking with constituents about their concerns. The average person has no need to know this data, unless they are just a follower. So... any time the news is using this kind of headline, they are really just trying to influence the sheeple who fall into one of those categories, no? I'd love opinions on this.
