Scenario - bush* to fundies: go screw
sorry for the sensationalistic headline :)

I wonder, in a 2nd term, could * start devaluing his beloved fundy
extreme right base?

IMO, anyone with even a bit of insight can tell he's a complete fraud as a Christian (he's a fraud at everything, but i'll not go into all that
here).
So, unless he's thinking about somehow remaining in power after 2
terms (at which point, the Great Experiment is over), I dont see his continued need to grovel to the insane fanatic fundy right.

thoughts?

2. I agree that he's a complete fraud as a CHRISTIAN.....
but so are the fundie neo-Pharisees that make up his base. I don't think he's necessarily a fraud as a fundie, and my worry is that, if anything, he'll have less restraint from implementing a fundie agenda.

4. The Fundies are using HIM...... not vice versa
They want to change Roe vs Wade, they want a no no to same sex marriage, they want a theocracy, etc etc.

Because of their views, no matter what Bush does, they will vote for him. He represents a means to an end.

This election is a test of collective wills, The Fundies imposing their shit on us and we just wanna be left alone to make a friggen living.

3. The anointed one

In his mind, * is a "True Believer"(tm)

If he should be elected (or re-selected), all pretense of
"compassionate conservative" will evaporate (and while we
are all disgusted about what he has done, he can do much
worse).
