This weekend marks the anniversary of "Mission Accomplished" |
|
If the Dems don't jump on that, something is truly wrong.

Kerry voted for the IWR.
I mean, come on. What's he gonna say? "They didn't conquer IraqNam correctly?" This thing was doomed to failure from the beginning.

2. The point is * declared "mission accomplished" |
|
and more Americans have died after that stunt than during the so-called "major operations".
Plus, the cowardly asshole tried to pin the blame for that stupid banner on the sailors. That was really pathetic.

3. Everyone who voted for this war assumed it was going to be handled |
|
with wisdom and forethought.
Blame the guys who voted for it??
No, we should be blaming the guys who planned for it and misjudged the timing, 2, plus once there, managed to fucked it up.

14. "wisdom and forethought?" |
|
That's really funny.
If they'd used "wisdom and forethought" they would have voted against this idiotic invasion and denied Smirk the funds to do it.
Invading a country which has not attacked you gives you NO moral high ground. Thus, you can't militarily defeat it and when you occupy it, the citizens will rise up to throw you out.
This thing was doomed from the beginning. I'm proud that 130 or so congresscritters voted against it.
A kinder and gentler conquest? wooohoooo, that's a great one.

18. I said, Assume. That Kerry and a few others voted for this doesn't mean we |
|
should not back them up now.
I for one will vote Kerry as he gives the best odds for a better tomorrow; Certainly not for the lying Pubs and their compassionate conservatism.

7. As of Sunday (yesterday), 718 US soldiers have died in the Iraq Invasion |
|
Only about 140 of those died in the "war" itself.

battle states! He really should use that image in an ad this week and get it on as many stations as he can in the battle ground states. I wonder if it would be considered out of line to use that image with the recent photos of coffins (you know the thugs will scream that Kerry is using the deaths of soldiers for political gain) but that sure would be a powerful image.

11. Kerry using flag draped caskets... |
|
would IMHO be hipocracy squared. In light of his yes vote for the war.

15. You are probably right but it wasn't Kerry who proclaimed |
|
"Mission Accomplished". And while Kerry had a yes vote, the ultimate decision to go to war was the chimps and the chimps alone. The buck should stop on his desk first.

20. Yes, but my point was how powerful the image would be |
|
to show the chimp in flight suit, mission accomplished with a big smile and wave and then the reality of the situation. That would be hard to counter. But ultimately you are correct, the flag draped coffins should not be used as political fodder.

10. Kerry should use the photo op |
|
and depict Chimp as worse than some one who has the diplomacy skillls to compromise but as some one who is "just plain wrong" A photo op politician, nothing more than an empty suit, wrong about the amount of troops, of the flower greeting Iraqi's, about the cost, "just plain wrong" about defense of this country

The news from Iraq is doing a fine job of pointing out that the mission was not accomplished.
