Sigh, I wish I was a RW Republican!! |
|
I tend to listen to all different points of view on many subjects, hence my (sometimes frustrating) listening to that blowhard Sean Hannity yesterday. Listening to some callers, a common thread has been their proud proclamation that they do not listen to or read any news sources except faux news and their ilk (rush, sean, ollie north). It is no wonder that the republican party can keep these people in the dark like they are. All their news is force fed to them! I sometimes wish I could be a sheeple like that, I would probably be a lot happier. No stress from stupid things like the truth.

A man woke up on a bench... he had no idea who he was, or any memories at all, really. No identification or anything either... the only thing he had was a small lamp in his hand. Instinctively, the man rubbed the lamp, and out popped a genie.
"You have one wish, master."
"I wish to know who I am," replied the man quickly.
"Funny," the genie laughed, as he disappeared. "That was your first wish."

You'd have a sense of warmth and security knowing the tough guys in the administration are keeping you safe and secure. You'd have the proud feeling of knowing your country only does what's right and good in the world and makes no mistakes. You'd have the satisfaction of knowing that in a world of "us" and "them," we are righteous, freedom-loving people doing God's work and everybody else is a terrorist.
Of course you'd be wrong, but you wouldn't give that a thought.

It is frustrating knowing the truth! One women yesterday was saying how she doesn't watch the news because hannity keeps saying how the news networks only tell about the fighting and the deaths and how bad things are, but on faux, they tell about the brave soliders and the feel good stories. I want to slap this stepford wife and tell her to think for her f**king self.

6. Hannity is the absolute worst. |
|
I'd rather listen to five hours of Limbaugh than one hour of Hannity, and I don't say that lightly. Hannity is a blowhard who is out of his league, and if he were paired up against someone who would fight on H&C, he'd be exposed for the mindless, uneducated asshole he is.

at work every day there are a bunch of white men crowded around Fox News on TV in the lunchroom. On the rare occasion I actually can EAT lunch I get there first and make sure the station is on anything but Fox - these guys look visibly upset. I think it may be a cult of ignorance.

They throw feel good news, patriotism, and the flag at you constantly and say blantly bad things about their opposition and slowly your brain starts leaking from your ears.
