"Thank you, thank you, thank you.
"You are the best Senator we can have in these terrible times. Your outspoken defense of Senator Kerry's honor, your calling a chickenhawk a chickenhawk, your taking no prisoners in the battle for truth; all vintage Lautenberg.
"Combined with Gen. Clark's Op-Ed in The New York Times this morning, you have given us a banner day! I am so proud to be a Democrat today and, especially, a Democrat from New Jersey." You don't have to be from New Jersey to use this webform: http://lautenberg.senate.gov/webform.html

Funny how he wants a "truce", now, after all the shots at Kerry have been fired.

9. McCain: Can't we just say that both candidates served honorably? |
|
No John, we can't say that both Kerry and Bush served honorably during Vietnam. Why can't we say that? Because we don't have Chimpy's military records -- he hasn't released them to the public.
I'll make it easy for you, though, John:
When John Kerry came under enemy fire -- the first time -- he turned his swift boat back on his attacker, jumped ashore, chased him down and killed him.
When John Kerry came under enemy fire -- the second time -- he took shrapnel in his leg and arm, then jumped into the river to pull one of his men back aboard. Then he ordered his crew to secure another boat that had been disabled and towed the lot of them to safety.
When America came under fire during George Bush's presidency, George sat in a Florida classroom for half an hour, oblivious. When the magnitude of the threat finally penetrated his cranium, he ran like a scared rabbit, first to Louisiana and then to Nebraska, even though he wasn't personally attacked. He later said that he was just trying to get out of harm's way. Screw the other 275 million people in the country, apparently. Now, this might be an acceptable attitude if you're Delmer Sixpack in Flyover Land, but for the putative commander in chief? I hardly think so.
But now tell me, John: Who served honorably? Because one of these men is NOT like the other.
