three war injuries-all minor-

That is an effed up biography if you ask me. They had to get that little dig in, ay?

One injury is to much but I guess 3 are ok if they are minor. Also, wasn't he shot? Since when did getting shot become minor?

Edit. Just looked, he wasn't shot. All shrapnel wounds from what I saw.

Somebody said that serving for 1 year on a swift boat gave one 70% chance of dying. It was a VERY dangerous posting. I wish I could remember who said this today, on which channel!! drat

One point on AP. I think that newspapers are free to edit AP articles, deleting paragraphs, etc. Is this true? It may be that the original AP article is much longer and that the main fault lies with the newspaper. Still--there are serious errors in the Bush* section too (suggesting that the Alabama period was somehow outside of his duty time). So maybe AP is at fault.

8. Swift Boats
when I think of them, I immediately imagine the scene in Apocalypse Now, when the boat was delivering Martin Sheen's character up river to find Col. Kurtz.

6. Sometime before Clinton beat his Daddy
The whole media has become the PR Department of the Republican Party. It's simply business-- the parent corporations make more money from Bush's tax cuts than they would make by running honest news agencies. It's all about competition and the free market these days, baby.
