Poll question: Poll: Why do you think *'s 9/11 commission testimony is secret?
If those Bush lapdogs at CNN can do a poll, so can we.

2. "the truth" being that he's brain damaged and incoherent
and that's why Cheney is there.

Bush and Ronald Reagan should get together for a big drool-fest

3. Hiding the fact that Cheney is the man behind the curtain
and he allowed MIHOP on 9-11.

4. It would show how trully incompetent he is
But then again, him having to testify WITH cheney and lawyers present only gives further credence to my opinion.

Someone made a remark about body language - I would of been very interested in seeing Bush and Cheney's body language over the exchange of questions. But, then again, after watching his press releases - the man is just incompetent, and worse yet is that he is in a position of incredible power and responsibility. It is glaringly obvious how his intellect lacks and how he remains a puppet to the neocon tribe.

This is getting ridiculous, I think this secrecy is a slap in the face to all Americans. Bush, Cheney and Co. are making this country less safer by the day. Today in LA we had a terror alert at two locations very close to where I live, they had to shut down one of the malls and now we have even more security than ever. My commander in chief is doing nothing to make us safer, is not cooperating with any attempt to "fix" the sytem and as far as I'm concerned is doing the exact opposite. The agression of this pre-emptive attack on Iraq coupled with our horrendous history of invading other countries, and supporting murderous dictators is only making us less safe and I believe contributed to Sept 11th happening. I think responsibility for Sept 11th needs to fall squarly on every politician that has been in office since WWII, when the aggression really started.

I feel more powerless than ever. We are being let down and screwed to the ninth degree by our government. It all disgusts me to no end. And I'm also disgusted that once again, we will have the choice in November of the "lesser of two evils" you know what happens when you keep picking between the lesser of two evils, you still get evil... and I even hate labelin things with that word but for the sake of simplicity I will use it here. So I will plug my nose and vote for Kerry because I think the Bush/Cheney momentum needs to be broken, although I am squarly against the foreign policy platform of both parties and believe both parties have sold out to greed and corruption fueled by desire for power at any cost and we haven't even begun to see the first of it.

5. they rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed but then ...
originally, bush and cheney were going to testify live on C-Span ... actually, karen hughes tried to get them booked on the letterman show ...

no need for secrecy, they thought they had a pretty good act going ...

the plan was to have Cheney drink a glass of water while bush was talking to prove that bush was actually speaking for himself ... it didn't work out ... bush kept getting confused and kept drinking the water ...

rummy's idea didn't work out too well either ... he suggested that while Cheney was "doing" bush's voice, bush could just sit there eating pretzels ... it's a good thing for bush that Condi was familiar with the Heimlich maneuver ...

finally, colin stepped in and said that he should be made up to look like bush and that he should testify by himself ...

well, that did it ...

and that, my DU friends, is the real reason bush's 9/11 testimony was kept secret ...

at least i'm pretty sure that's how it happened ...

8. This is a travesty of justice.
Only this administration had the power to react (or not) to the events of 9/11. They alone are accountable for 9/11 non-reaction.

The fact that it was held out of the public's eye and not under oath means it was absolutely meaningless.

As far as I am concerned, the blood of 3,000 Americans are on the collective hands of this administration.

12. Bush's Ventriloquist, or Cheney's Monkey
In a story by the AP I thought it was interesting that they titled the article "9/11 Panel QUIZZES Bush, Cheny for Hours" what's with the kindergarten talk.. dumbing down American's again.

Also they slipped up and quoted Bush as saying "... I answered their question_he (referring to Cheney) answered most their questions" and now I pulled up the article to quote this exactly and this slip is completely omitted... why didn't I save it, someone must have a copy out there.

Anyway, I should know by now, the deption runs deep and mind. On an end note, its nice to know that our President took this as a big joke, ie. from the article "Unlike the commission's televised hearings where tempers sometimes flared, there were no tense moments in the Oval Office, said former Gov. Jim Thompson, a Republican commission member. He called Bush "a bit of a tease" and said there was laughter at times.

Ha Ha
