1. How's that?
The stock market is about to crash? I wouldn't have thought so. The main problem seems to be the devaulation of the US Dollar, but this usually causes the international markets to improve.

C'mon, if you have a stock tip, even a bear, let us in on it!

4. Watch the price of gold. It is ...
a baramoter IMHO...despite the talking heads counterclaims. The price supression is apparent. Now would be a real good time to get more if you already have some. Or start buying now...I think that inside of the year we could well see $500 an oz gold. Inflation is starting to rear it's ugly head and gold is a sure hedge against it.

just my .02

3. The dollar's been trending upward all year.
Its still down quite a bit from where it was, but the prospect of an interest rate hike has caused a nice little rally, while hurting the markets.

5. What is with the world trade and cotton?
Republicans can not run things. Every thing is in a mess. So why not Wall Street? Usually the real rich get up tight about that. I do not think they will sit around and let Bush take that down. Bush really sounded odd on news to day. I think they are all nuts in DC so Wall Street better watch them selfs.

6.  pooh-pooh
<<< //sarcasm ahead\\ >>>

don't you know that a weak dollar is good for 'merican?

don't you know that out-sourcing jobs and in-sourcing foreign workers is good for 'merican economy?

don't you know that all this was all Clinton's fault?

don't you know that addressing the China-'merican trade deficit will result in economic isolationism?

when the markets crash and we are in depression - we will be told that this is good because we've hit bottom and have no where to go but up

remember -- IN WEAKNESS THERE IS STRENGTH!!

7. Well, we all know we have him . . .
My husband's friend just got back from a year in Afghanistan followed by a year in Iraq (no break between the two). My husband asked him, "Do you think Osama is dead or that we'll ever get him?" Friend began to laugh. My husband then asked, "What, do you think we already have him?" Friend said, "Now you are using your brain." Last summer, a relative of mine got back from Iraq. I asked him if he thought Osama was dead. He replied by laughing. I then asked him the same question my husband asked his friend. Amazingly his reply was same as the friend's. "Wow, now you are using your brain." Both of these people are officers. Both were once conservatives. Neither will ever again vote for chimpy.
