9/11 Kangaroo Commission rumor.
I heard Aaron Brown float a rumor on his show tonight that Bob Kerry and Lee Hamilton got up and walked out of Bush's office an hour before his time for "testifying" in front of his 9/11 commission was over.

Did anyone else hear this? Am I imagining things? If you have heard can you supply any further information as to why they walked out?

2. Yes, they left early...
Hamilton apparently had a prior engagement. Sounds weird, but it's plausible given the circumstances of it. I don't know about Kerrey.

It was discussed here:

3. ahaa ok thanks....
That does indeed sound wierd. Particularily when you consider the guy is the vice chair. Great to know he takes his responsibilities to the familys of the 9/11 victims so seriously. Then again they were only "questioning" the president.

6. I'm not sure what to think...
I keep looking at all the angles. I can't get it out of my head the possibility of some sort of statement being made. It just seems odd to me that no one seemed to know that they'd be leaving early. One would think that had this departure been common knowledge, BushCO would have released some sort of announcement beforehand, at least one that would not prompt even a network like CNN to advertise it as "breaking news." Why even allow for the possibility of attention being drawn?

I don't know what constraints were placed on the commissioners as a result of this weird deal they made for Rice's testimony. I'm not sure anyone does fully except those involved. If it were me and I wanted to draw attention to the farce but was otherwise under a legal obligation not to say a word else find myself and my family victims of a witch-hunt, I'd do something like this ... just leave ... give an excuse afterward that fulfilled the terms of my deal with the devil, but let me make some sort of statement nonetheless.

Shrub's statements afterward were simply bizarre, so friendly they came off as even more fake than he normally is. Same for the official comments from the commission.

Maybe I need a hat :tinfoilhat: but I can't help but think there's more to this than the official story.

7. Not me...I'd agree to the deal...then I'd break it.
After all lying and cheating are the penultimate display of patriotism...Maybe the Boy Scouts would ask me to speak at their Jamborees....maybe I'd have an airport or an interstate named after me.

I'd of smuggled a tape recorder in there with me...taped the whole meeting...and promplty mailed it to every media outlet in the country...as soon as I left the building. Then I'd take my lumps.

really swell...everyone was really happy.....the president was great...the room kozy...the coffee hot...and the donuts tasty.

Who knows....maybe the meeting ended and they decided to hold auditions for a Fosters Beer commercial. Did anyone see a guy in a kangaroo suit hop into the White House today?
