"It's the National Security, Stupid"
Edited on Mon Aug-02-04 04:34 PM by Frenchie4Clark
I just want to share what is in my hearts of heart. I am being pretty pessimistic, and I hope that I can be talked out of my cynicism.

National Security was always going to be the GOP's trump card, and it is now being played. National Security is the one thing that Bush has been strong on ever since 9/11. It is natural that BushCo., as unethical as they are, would manipulate events to showcase a Strong Wartime President keeping our nation safe. Using the Fear card has always been part of the plan, hence the date and location of the NRC's convention.

With the American sheeples the issue of safety trumps optimism, unfortunately. What "should be now" (safety) comes ahead of what "could be then" (hope).

I am from the school of observation, and what I saw was KKKarl Rove manipulating the DNC into thinking that what was important was to show Kerry as an optimist by playing 25 million in ads portraying John Kerry as a Pessimistic charismatically challenged boring candidate. John Edwards was chosen because the media portrayed him as being the exact opposite....an optimist, charismatic and envigorating individual. In essense, the DNC and John Kerry were stirred and ended up doing exactly what Rove wanted done.

I have been watching the Dems playing defense at every turn. Even the convention's theme of "non-Bush Bashing" was engineered by KKKarl Rove. The GOP kept saying that Dems were doing nothing but Bush Bashing all over the airwaves...without saying what Bashing truly meant. The Dems' convention was not only set up to refute the Bush Bashing charge, but it was also to advertised that the convention would not bash Bush....instead of allowing the after-the-fact analysis conclude that this is what occured. The ones attempting to control their own message (the Dems) were being controlled all along.

Once again, the Dems are currently continuing to choose the wrong approach and shooting themselves in the foot (maybe even a fatal wound to the heart this time) by denying that what Howard Dean is saying....that Alert terrors are being used politically to achieve election for George Bush....which is an accurate analysis. They are distancing themselves from Dean's honest statements and acting just like the Mommy Party........scared to say "Boo" to KKKarl Rove's offensive moves. Meanwhile the Media are helping demonizing Howard Dean via the instructions of the RNC. See Loserman do what he can to help the media....the only friends he now has.

Some here may think that our denial of what is happening will make it go away....but it won't. Those in charge of John Kerry's strategy for election must be way above above their pay grade. I have yet to see an effective method utilized to have the Dems start playing offense, and not so much defense. As always, the media, is helping the Bushies....and the Dems should not be surprised.

Democrats have not learned a thing! They are still in the "what will they think?" MO. The trees are still getting in the way of the forest, and I fear they always will. If and when Bush loses, it will be because of himself.....not anything that the Dems will have engineered. I do pray that it will be so, that GWB ends up packing and going home after November 2nd.....cause it appears that this is all that I can do.....PRAY that we win by default!
