Most Mexicans have no interest in getting into USA |
|
Its a myth..not started by mexicans...that you can buy into that amazing American dream..which is actually a nightmare.A Lot of Mexicans now live in the border towns..and generation after generation has bought into that myth..it is a culture based on the myth that was itself perpetuated by those in the USA who would exploit that cheap labor..so, the myth goes like this.."we must continue to get into the USA..anyway we can so that we can continue to send back money to our families..the family is everything in Mexico...so on and on it goes. I live in Mexico..not near the border or border towns. I do not know one Mexican that has any interest whatsoever in getting into the USA...or living in the USA. Once in a while you will hear a kid who thinks he would like to visit Disneyworld...thats it. Mexico has its own middle class...yeah, they do..ha! Even the once in a while young person who has heard the milk and honey version of usa...and thinks about giving that a try..doesnt want to go to the USA, they want to go to Canada..where they are welcome, where that dream has a 100% better chance of happening..and where they are entitled to free medical..which they have here in Mexico.

mexicoxpat, and Americans simply do not realize or understand the movement down here to keep people home and rejuvinate the sociey. I really belive that one will never be able to understand this culture until one has actually lived it. Anyway, I am so proud of the Ejidos down in Bahia De Los Angeles for organizing and filing a lawsuit against the developers of the Nautical Ladder, now that took huevos grandes. And, the Taramahuma organizers in Chihuaua who are trying to stop the logging and drug dealing, among many others here.
Now, if only we could get these guerros to focus on the real needs of Mexico, other then this BS DMV thing...heh, maybe some of the Californians could even e-mail their Congressperson and oppose the fact that when people buy yachts and boats in California, they don't have to pay sales tax in CA if they dock the boat in Ensenada for thirty days. Now that's BS. Can you imagine if we bought cars in CA and didn't have to pay sales tax just by crossing the Border? Sorry to change the subject. See ya later.
