What the Future Holds or Five will Get you Ten
I don't know what the future holds. I think there's still a good chance for Kerry, but I wouldn't put any money on it. But let's assume the worst for just a moment. Let's assume Bush has won and will continue to forward his far right agenda.

Part of that agenda is the elimination of Liberalism and Liberals (which of course means you and me). They've been pretty candid about this goal. For the Conservatives to creat their idea of an American Utopia, they need to eliminate all the liberals. By hook or by crook, as they say.

I don't want to fault anybody for the decisions they make in their personal lives. Some of you are planning to leave because of personal reasons or anger at your fellow country man or for other reasons. IF you feel it's in your best interest to leave, that's fine.

But I'm not going anywhere. This is my country too; I'm not giving it to those conservative bastards by default. I'm keeping it.

And I'm far from alone--as Tom Tomorrow put it at his website ( http://www.thismodernworld.com ) "Well, never forget the numbers. Never forget that if we who voted for sanity are in the minority, it is only by the barest margin. Do not let them turn a squeaker of a win into the myth of a landslide." So I'm not alone.

We're not alone. NY times has us at 54,687,988.

Anyway just my two cents.

Bryant
