They will plant stories and spin so that almost half of you question why you ever voted for him in the first place. He will be the butt of their cruelest jokes and claim he was unfit for the American people who soundly rejected him and would never trust their children to him.

That's what they do.

They drove down Clinton's historic high approvals with their bogus stories of WH damage and pardons. They pilloried popular vote getter Gore as a loser and launched that flurry of post 9-11 memes of Thank God Bush was president and not Gore BULLSHIT.

Everything is a calculation to them. Don't let them win this perception game.

1. Already started
Did you see the Newsweek article? And people around here buy right in. Just like they did all year long. They know the media lies, but then they turn right around and help spread the lies. It's insane.

3. And the article pointed to in this DU posting
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=103x83095

It pissed me off because it stunk of the dirt between Karl Rove's toes.

16. It's the only option when you have nothing of your own to promote.
What can they run on, their real agenda? Their charm and intelligence? There good looks? They got nothing.

You are so right. The Republican Way.

6. As always, you are correct.
I'm convinced we still have deep cover posters here who are leading the "Kerry let us down" meme. Nothing like demoralizing and splitting the most important forum for liberal/progressive activism and discussion. I hope people start to use their noggins about this.

It's the system, stupid. No Democrat can win with the system gamed the way it is now.

9. I agree.
It's called "psyops" and the goal is to demoralize the enemy to the point where they no longer care to fight (or are too busy fighting each other).

We are being subjected to psyops. So let's recognize it for what it is and quit the infighting.

8. It's is true, we play into their hands when we divide like that
I know enough about how politics work not to fall prey to this. I am even more galvanized to organize and win in 2006. I am just taking a small break till Monday. This girl needs time to heal.

Divide and conquer an age old military strategy.

15. This is precisely why Kerry is staying above the fray
This election could turn into a three-ring circus, if it hasn't already, with Rove as the ringmaster. By not being in the vote count controversy front and center, as Gore was, Kerry is not being tarred and feathered by the media as a "sore loser," whatever the hell that's supposed to mean. I guess I'm a sore loser when somebody steals my money and I want it back.

Kerry took down BCCI, and they never truly realized what they were up against until it was too late. We said we have his back. Now, do we or don't we? We are his team, getting the info out. I'm not going to let him down, and I will push against the media and its disinformation machine every chance I get.
