Bill Clinton opened his mouth - I wish he hadn't |
|
heard this on Washington Journal.
he wants us to make nice and kiss the bushgang's behind.
this makes me want to kick him in the shins.
remember during the last 4 yrs. when our mouths would hang open in shock when Hillary would pop up and kiss smirk's behind?
and Kerry gives up before the counting is over, and wants us to play nice?
and NONE of them ever mention voting fraud with voting machines!!!!!
what's the deal? have they been playing us?
I spread some of my Social Security money on this election. never again.
two coup d'etats quietly accepted is more then I can stomach.

1. That does it for me. Clinton is now irrelevant. |
|
As far as I am concerned, he showed his true colors. As I have long suspected, Bill Clinton is out for Bill Clinton.
And up until this point, I was a supporter of Clinton.

26. Yeah? Got any other Democrats who won two presidential terms? |
|
What I'd say to that is--
find me another Democrat to win two presidential terms, and then tell me how irrelevant Bill Clinton is.

28. What the hell does that have to do with anything in the present? |
|
His reign is over, and if he's not going to use whatever influence he has to strengthen the party and fire up the base, then in my opinion, he's irrelevant.

30. That's exactly the point. |
|
His reign is NOT over.
Gore "lost" . Kerry "lost" .
If he's irrelevant to you, that's cool.
But to the Democratic Party and the country, he's still the King and will be until another Democrat proves they're a national winner.

2. In business, we call it retreat and regroup. |
|
I think that is what is happening. Cooler heads prevail. We can privately weep and wail, but that won't get the job done. It would be more fun for us if the big dog would hold our heads for us while we cry, but that is foolish, really.
In your life, when you deal with disappointments, what do you do? We may not want to hear it, but the truth is, bitching and whining produces nothing.
Revenge, as my Mother used to say, is a dish best eaten cold. We will get ours.

Ignoring the problem emboldens them and disempowers us.

Anybody not addressing the vote fraud issue and who owns the bbv machines is just pissing in the wind. They are nowhere and we need to move past them and find powerful champions who get it, or we go street level. Those are our options.

The only thing that is driving me crazy is that the FRAUD issue will be off the screen in a few days.
I guess I don't see the FRAUD issue as revenge however. Clinton really didn't address Fraud in his remarks. It is amazing to me how the media is not addressing it at all, they have their marching orders from Rove and America doesn't even know unless they read DU.
So, it's our little secret when it should be headlines.

5. Hillary 2008 is on his mind |
|
There were numerous reports, pre-election, that the Clintons' eyes were on 2008.
I also heard, on November 3, Nancy Pelosi on the radio say she had spoken with Pres. Clinton. When asked the details of their conversation, she balked and said only that they talked about "the future."
So Bill has 2008 on his mind and has ALL ALONG.
He's still the big dawg, though.

that there is only one party. . . and the majority of us don't belong to it and our presence is not welcome.
The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country. -- A Lincoln

8. get a clue- its all about politics-not the country |
|
These guys (D or R) with a few notable exceptions....don't care about the country or the people. It is all about their own political gain and games. If this whole Kerry thing doesn't prove that, I don't know what would.
Some people stood in line 10 hours to vote and Kerry waited little longer than that to concede....BEFORE all the votes are counted?!
Oh yeah, Kerry cares...sure he does. :eyes:

17. Remember when Pat Robertson ran for president? and didnt make it? |
|
the fundies didnt cry and moan...they got quiet...got elected...and now hold a lot of cards....so..even though we are unhappy...bitchin and moaning past a few days is stupid....the mourning period id over.
there are serious things we can do collectively like keeping the paperless voting machines alive in the public conversation..for one.
shrub is already showing his ass...he will make a mess of things...we will lose some things we hold dear...and in the end...while he is digging his own grave...the dems will get control again...and clean up the republican mess.
Anger is good if directed constructively. Swearing at Bill and Hill and Kerry may feel good..but it pleases the opposition more than it helps us.
The US now is a trainwreck with bush as the engineer. We will come out of this nightmare. He stated that he would cut the deficit in half and the only 2 things not on the table were defense and Homeland security...so...stand by....social programs are gonna be gutted...he makes his agenda known to all...and now he has the majority to ram it through....even if that happens...we will get through it..I truly believe that.
As for me..Im gonna become a minister...open up my own small church....maybe in a garage...get some faith based money and a tax exemption too. :)
(IMHO)

23. We need to qualify what we are arguing about. |
|
I'm endorsing Bev Harris' efforts because I think it's in our best interest to ensure that the voting system is fair and honest. But if you tell Dems to stop whining and move on, aren't you in essence telling them not to check the system?
As for the right-wingers not whining...ARE YOU NUTS! Whine is exactly what they did and they raised it to an art form. They whined on the Rush Limbaugh show, they whined & whelped out FoxNews they whined out freerepublic.com, they whined out an oily Republican machinery that so greased up today that it leaves skid marks on the backs of Dem efforts.
WHINGE & WHINE damn it, but don't be civil. Don't let them for one minute think that we're happy with the results. God knows they never were in the 90s and the lesson to that is that now they're on top.

|
do would be join with moderate Republicans and see to it that Rudy makes it out of the Republican primary for 08. If the moderate Republicans just will not leave the party- then centrist Dems should consider helping them within the Republican party.

He still thinks that they'll play nice, if only we meet them halfway.
They're still conniving how to destroy him, and he's still cozening up to them in the hopes of getting Hillary elected and himself back near power.
He's a fool, and his maneuvering is very transparent.
Why were all of his points of difference with the Kerry campaign instantly leaked? Vanity, thy name is Bill.

22. man, bill is just trying to tell us what's up. that's all. this election |
|
shit is all images, no substance. we have to present an image to the american people that fits their perspective at that time. man most of these folks don't follow politics, all they now is you flip the switch and the shit works. and that's all they are concerned about.
my wife is one of those people, she's not interested in this stuff man, and she is not by herself, they are only interested in politics when it's not working other then that it's just getting by.
that's what big dog is telling you. and it's what the repugs know. for the last four years they have had control, and how many of those christian ideas have they put up for vote. none, well yeah they block late term abortions, but that is an easy one. if bush and gang are such christians, why did he say at his news conference the first thing he's going to do is ban abortions. and why didn't the so called moral leaders not scream to holy hell that he didn't say it. because it's a game, just one big stupid game, and we're sitting around here trying to be all serious.

32. I've disliked that repuke enabler for years, and in 2001 or so he cracked |
|
an anti-lesbian joke.
Now I didn't need his joke to hate his guts, but with the telecom act, welfare 'reform' that didn't deal with corporate welfare, DMCA, DOMA (the gay thing), Jocelyn Elders, Monica, coped out on national healthcare thanks to a more organized opposition, and a host of other issues, I can say that I'm not entirely fond of him.
But he balanced the budget and could smooth talk foreign diplomats. He's not all THAT bad. But that's 2 good things next to several bad things.
