We're promoting internal Civil War in Iraq. An inbedded reporter on NPR reported today the Iraqi Security Force participating in the Fallujah assault is composed of almost entirely of Kurds and Shiites.
NPR even does a segment on the difficulty and history of U.S. attempts of creating interim military forces...the record is not good.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4161610Since they can't trust the Sunnis to be members of the Security force for Fallujah..then I'm assuming they won't be able to trust the Shias when I comes time to put down the next insurgency when it breaks out in the south in the Shia regions...
This is a military disaster even greater than Vietnam that we are witnessing. There we at least were on one side, and not fence jumping like we are in this conflict.
As a retired military veteran and a student of military history, I honestly believe that if this type of campaign continues it will eventualy destroy our military and possibly an entire generation of our youth along with it.
Sooner or latter the entire country of Iraq is going to become wise to our tactics, and once they do....all hell will break loose.
