They should have never let him post bail, though. He's a flight risk in my opinion. Lock him up and throw away the key.
Former WorldCom executive jailed 2003-09-03 From Staff and Wire Reports
Former WorldCom chief executive Bernie Ebbers was booked Wednesday on criminal charges of violating Oklahoma securities laws in a massive accounting fraud.
Ebbers, whose company collapsed last year in the nation's largest bankruptcy, was fingerprinted and booking photographs were taken of him, said Oklahoma County sheriff's Sgt. Rochelle Thompson.
Following booking, Ebbers was released pending a 1:30 p.m. CDT court appearance before Oklahoma County Judge Russell Hall.
Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson filed the 15-count complaint a week ago, charging Ebbers, WorldCom and five other former executives with artificially hiking the value of the company's stock and bonds by falsely boosting the company's profits in quarterly public financial reports.

3. Do you get the feeling that they're going after Worldcom |
|
because there's a Dem who has miniscule ties to it, as opposed to the stained blue dress of Enron and the DNA of Bush all over it?
