Is anybody watching NBC Nightly News |
|
Leads with the White House go hat in hand to the UN and now they are talking about the White House meddling with the EPA report encouraging people to move back into their apartments after 9/11. This is not good for *!

All them New Yorkers ought to be plenty peeved at them by then. Do you think that they'll change the venue by then to somewhere in Texas?

And miss the chance to exploit the hell out of 9/11 (even more than they normally do)?

5. They may want big protests at their convention... |
|
There are a lot of Americans who don't feel comfortable when protesters "raise a ruckus" and rock the boat. We saw it back in the 1960's when people in Ohio were happy that the National Guard's weekend warriors were killing students (most of whom were not protesting.) The response was "they deserved it," and they were all "infected with syphilis and gonnorhea," etc.

New Yorkers don't put up with BS and I bet that the protest will be a very big one.

If thousands of genuinely pissed off NY'ers protest Shrub's butchering of the EPA vis a vis 9-11, I think it will be quite powerful. It will be especially so, when family members of people who have gotten ill, or even the sick themselves wheel out their oxygen tank, and bash * for lying to them.
I also seriously hope that people are "mainstream" when they protest. There is nothing more convincing to middle america then a guy with a mohawk trying to convince them that * is evil. I am a live and let live kinda guy, but I do hope there is some effort to tell people to still be themselves, but tone it down just a couple of notches.
