High gas prices drives consumers into discount retail stores to save money. Wall Mart might be a recipient of increased activity due to high gas prices. Wall Mart is another Dow component.

I just said this. It's been clear for some time that bushco is manipulating US budget figures. As I stated he is using Enron accounting tactics to make "assets"/productivity look better for the nation than it really is while he and his crew of thugs are looting the nation for as much as they can get. However, I also agree with you they will try to manipulate the stock market if they can.
