California Double Whammy - A Rove Nightmare?? |
|
I don't know if this was mentioned anywhere, but this afternoon a Latino writer on the local NPR station discussed what could be a very big humiliation for the Rove machine...
Not only that Davis will survive the recall AND Bustamante wins the second part of the ballot (thus moot since Davis will be vindicated by the good people of California). The person was not only confident that there would be a huge Hispanic turn-out...angry about seeing Pete Wilson working the strings behind Ahnold and pride in their own.
He went on say this election is going to turn into a referedum on the Repugnican domestic agenda...all the elements that Dubya will have to be called onto account next year...high unemployment, sagging economy and its implications to local economies and a growing contempt among many of the arrogance and lies of this regime and the Repugnican party.
Also many are upset at the millions spent on this circus at the expense of schools, health care, elderly services...even garbage pick-up and the jogging track hours at the local rec center. They see that it was the Repugnicans that started this mess and ready to send them a message. And he dares speculate...from there to other states and a growing discontent in this country and a major disconect by the Repugnican leadership will be its downfall in the very near future.
I sure hope he's right!

1. I hope SOMEBODY points out that if the "Clinton Economy" |
|
was still working and ppl were working, then there would be little budget problems. (IMHO)

2. Someone (semi-freeper) asked me |
|
in a very snotty way, what I would do about the economy. My response, go back to Clintonian economic policies. We've proven that they worked, so why should we do anything else?
